We just came from eating here and I give it an 1000/10! The food was so good, the atmosphere was amazing and family oriented, which I love, and the service was 10/10. My kids are picky eaters and they ate every last bit of their food! Highly recommend and will be back!

Yesss today was my first time here, and definitely won’t be my last time. Everything I ordered was good. Can’t wait to go and try other food. On top of that the service was great, and the owner sooo very very nice and welcoming. We even got a sample piece of sweet potato pie. If you haven’t been here please go. You will not be disappointed.

My husband & I live on the west side & were looking for someplace different to eat. I've had this place on my list for a few years now.Just WOW!!! We were given friendly greetings by everyone as we entered. This restaurant is family owned & operated and you can tell. It is a small place with an attached bar but comfortable seating to dine in.Very attentive service and we had great conversation with the owner who brought us samples of her cabbage and also of the banana pudding. EXCELLENT. She gave us some history of this place, which has been on business well over 20 years. Emma is her deceased mother whom she named the place after. The friendliest family.My husband got the pork chop which he loved. I got some greens (has turkey on it!) macaroni & cheese. We can't wait to come back and try the meatloaf and salmon croquette.We will be back .... Sandy & Tim

Emma's is a local, family owned, and black owned and operated restaurant serving up the city's BEST soul food!!! Every dish tastes like a hug from Big Mama/Grandma. The second time I visited I brought a friend from California. As Angelenos we are very particular about good food and we were impressed and taken aback by the warm service, friendly staff, and of course the food. We were offered samples of Macaroni and cheese and savory meatloaf that left us excited and hungry for more. We were also given a sample of banana pudding that changed the game completely! Please support black businesses and pay a visit to this gem!P.S. they've expanded the space and have a bar attached!!! Great environment and even better people!!

We ordered carryout, so I can't rate the atmosphere. However, this is one of the few places in Cincinnati I will return. The price point is a little high, but not unreasonable, in my opinion. This was some of the best tasting and perfectly spiced foods I've had since coming here. We will return, and I will order the meatloaf. Chicken was perfect, but I tried my husband's meatloaf and it was to die for!

Friendly staff and excellent food!! I've had the fried chicken, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, the yams and the banana pudding and alllllll of it is good!!! Will be one of my go to's when I need my soul food fix!!!!
